Jamie Taras

Having won two Grey Cup championships with the Canadian Football League’s (CFL) B.C. Lions, Jamie Taras now brings his sense of winning and team success to the business world.
 
Throughout his exemplary career, Taras has been both a nominee and a recipient for many individual awards. In 1999, he was nominated League wide for three awards: Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman, Most Outstanding Canadian and The Tom Pate Award (given to one player in the CFL who has shown during the course of the year, outstanding sportsmanship and team leadership, service to the league and CFLPA, and a contribution to his community). In 2003, Taras was voted as a member of the B.C. Lions All-Time Dream Team as part of the club’s 50-year anniversary celebration.

A gifted communicator, Taras is well equipped to provide insights into the true grit and leadership required to win in sports, business and life. He holds a degree from the University of Western Ontario, a securities certificate from the Canadian Securities Institute, and has extensive experience in the area of management consulting.
 
In his spare time, Taras is an executive board member of Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.
